Our Story

The first Can Do Kids Club took place at a small town, central Illinois church in response to a need for a children's midweek program that was Bible-centered, fun, flexible and affordable. It also started with a vision to bridge the gap between the children and families in most need and those blessed with the resources to help meet those needs.

Over the course of fives years the club developed into a community ministry reaching over 200 children ages three through fifth grades.

The original Can Do Kids Clubs consisted of small group time, music and worship, Bible stories, memorization and hands-on ministry projects. And through the years, Can Do Kids has experimented with other means of helping children and youth experience God’s love, learn God’s word and live God’s way through after school clubs, sports, and other means of engaging youth.

The name "Can Do Kids" comes from Philippians 4:13 which tells us that we "CAN DO" all things through Christ who strengthens us.
